Artist Statement
As long as I can remember I have always drawn and been interested in the arts. I started college in the printmaking program at UMass Amherst but eventually graduated with a BFA in Interior Design and started an architecture/ interior design firm which I ran for 30 years before retiring.

Art has the power to stop time and I love the idea of time being stopped to capture a moment. A few seconds that may be exciting, peaceful or even stressful.

Even when these moments are captured, they can evolve. I imagine what a moment might have said in the past, what it is telling us now and what it might say in the future. We can never truly know, only imagine.

It is these impressions, thoughts and emotions that I work to imbue the viewer with allowing them an opportunity to create their own stories about a particular moment in time.
