Registration is closed

Clarification: This class is from 9:30-12:30

Plan to arrive around 9:15.

The paintings of Fran Mangino are a testament to her determination to clarify and to capture a vision informed by her life experiences. AND the one question that Fran Mangino has been getting asked often is on herItalian Chef paintings is, “How do you paint steam?” Here is your chance to become bold in your use of light and dark shapes. This is your chance to break out of your shell and take a chance. Do something different than what you usually do. There are two drawings to decide on and a few photos used to develop the subjects. Every decision will be your choice to make. This will not be a painting where you work within the drawn line.

Fran plans to demonstrate first and afterwards feel free to paint the subject.

Materials: bring what you are use to painting with. Do not forget the larger brushes. Her demo will be on 11x14 paper..  Please click here   steamp.pdf  to get academic sketches  for the class paint time.

Fran has taken her paintings to showing energy from everyday life situations. Her chef’s theme has been accepted in many state exhibitions winning awards.

We will be providing the classroom space for her. As well as coffee, water and snacks. Guests are welcome but please signup on-line. The fee is $10.00.

Florida Suncoast Watercolor Society has a large classroom at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 1031 S. Euclid Avenue, Sarasota, FL 34237. We will put a large ribbon on both doors to help you identify the room.
Again it will be Monday, Nov. 10th at 9:30 am.
