Weedon Island Preserve
1800 Weedon Drive NE
St. Petersburg, FL

This Preserve encompasses over 3000 acres
of mangrove forests, mudflats and marine hammocks.
It is home to a great variety of wildlife and especially known for its aquatic birds and gopher tortoises.
There are several hiking trails throughout the Preserve, plus a Cultural & Natural History Center.

COME EARLY IN THE DAY TO HIKE THE TRAILS
and/or
SPEND TIME VISITING THE CULTURAL & HISTORY CENTER
with its museum displays, videos and 1000 year old
indigenous dugout canoe.

WE WILL GATHER FOR LUNCH at 11:30 AM
Bring your Brown Bag lunch to the Picnic Shelter.
(Look for the shelter sign over blue bin at edge of parking area)

Don't forget your camera and sunscreen!
